Gavin Lowndes is a Dublin based photographer, teacher/digital media instructor for DDLETB (Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Education & Training Board), multidisciplinary creator and also the founder of The Shoot (www.theshootireland.com).
He specialises in capturing the timeless beauty and raw emotion of his subjects on film through the analogue process. Whether shooting intimate portraits, street scenes, or sweeping landscapes, his work is defined by its authenticity and depth.
He frequently collaborates with models from various modelling agencies across Ireland, creating portraits that highlight the unique character and individuality of each person. The tactile nature of film allows him to slow down and truly connect with his subjects.
The soft grain, natural imperfections, and distinctive colour renditions of film add an organic quality to each image, resulting in photographs that feel personal, unfiltered, and full of life.
Some of Gavin's work has been featured on the Lomography website, exhibitions and also in some publications, showcasing his ability to capture moments that stand apart from the fast-paced digital world.
